Join your neighbors and Sustainable Eiber for a clothing swap!
Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, 1 – 3 pm
Genesis Gallery, Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1390 Brentwood St.
We’re producing more clothes than we can wear — around 150 billion new items every year — and a lot of that ends up as waste. Around the world, the equivalent of one dump truck filled with clothing is sent to a landfill or incinerator every second. We’ve normalized a culture of constantly buying new clothes without thinking twice about its impact on people or the planet.
How the Clothing Swap works:
- Bring a $1 donation to support Lakewood United Methodist Church for offering their space for free.
- Bring up to 10 items: women’s, men’s, children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories.
- The theme is cold weather clothes, accessories and shoes. Please save swimwear, sleeveless items and sandals for another swap.
- Take up to 10 items per person.
- Bring gently loved items that are clean — nothing damaged or stained.
- Optional: bring your clothing on hangers.
- There are gender-specific bathrooms for trying on clothes and rooms adjacent to the gallery where one can try on clothes, though not as private.
- Leftover clothing will be donated.
RSVP is helpful but not required. RSVP to SustainableEiber@gmail.com.
