Tour Sustainable Yards around Eiber!
Sustainable Eiber hosts an annual, self-guided tour featuring neighborhood yards that incorporate sustainable practices, including pesticide-free Bee Safe methods, xeriscaping, water conservation, and more.
Each year, various neighbors around Eiber volunteer to open up their yards for others to view and explore, and share information with tour participants. Those interested in touring can request a self-guided map of the participating addresses. Free to participate.
The tour is back for 2026 after a hiatus in 2025. The tour is now called Open Yards Tour, and will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, 9am-12pm.
The 2026 tour is focused on sharing and learning about sustainable activities vs. “done” gardens/yards. Would you like to share with neighbors what sustainability looks like in your yard? The tour is looking for yards in these categories: composting & converting yard waste, converting to native & pollinator plants, raising & growing food/livestock, and saving water. We’re looking for yards at all stages! Submit your yard HERE.
