After recently experiencing 232 consecutive days without measurable snowfall, it seems like a good time to talk about our local water supply. Where does our water come from? Who makes sure we have enough and that it’s safe to drink? What can we, as neighbors, do to support and help care for our water sources? Neighbors are invited to join a series of Wednesday workshops where we explore these questions and more.
Water Wednesday Workshop 1: Learn about our neighborhood’s water supply and safety
Wednesday, January 19, 2022, 7-8pm
Via Zoom: https://lakewood.zoom.us/j/89051133614?pwd=T2tBVllpcWFPWFk4Y1I0R2N6c2ZvZz09
RSVP encouraged
The first workshop will be a Q&A forum with Jarod Roberts, Eiber neighborhood resident and manager of Consolidated Mutual Water Company’s source water division. Both the Eiber and South of 6th neighborhoods are served by Consolidated Mutual as our water provider. Jarod will answer questions about the state of our water supply, where our water comes from, and how it is treated to make it safe to drink. Have specific questions you want covered? Feel free to email them in advance to SustainableEiber@gmail.com or share them in the chat during the call.
Hosted by Sustainable Eiber and Sustainable South of 6th.
RSVP to either SustainableEiber@gmail.com or southof6th@gmail.com
