Wildlife of Lakewood
March 1—31, 2022
Lakewood Cultural Center Corner Gallery, 470 S Allison Pkwy, Lakewood, CO 80226
Featuring photographs of wildlife in Lakewood taken by Lakewood residents.
Opening reception Thursday, March 3rd, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
Get up close to critters who also call Lakewood home at the “Wildlife of Lakewood“ photography exhibit.
A portrait of a green caterpillar peering in the distance may lead the viewer to ponder if she is transitioning soon to become a butterfly. A heron captured mid flight displays nature’s art in fine feathered detail. For those who haven’t seen bobcats, several will peer out at you at the exhibit.
The goal of this wildlife photography exhibition is to raise awareness and appreciation of the wonderful animals and natural environments that help make Lakewood a beautiful place to live. Our aim is to encourage sustainability in all things in Lakewood – and beyond – by sharing inspiring and thoughtful images of Lakewood’s local wildlife.
Hours for the Cultural Center are weekdays, 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm. The building is also open in the evenings during theater events and classes. Sponsored by Sustainable Eiber in partnership with Lakewood’s Sustainable Neighborhoods Program.
